Regus 40% "cheaper" than conventional lease

Research confirms cost advantages of serviced offices

Regus, the UK's top serviced office provider, is up to 40% more cost-effective for customers than a conventional lease, according to recent research from Actium Consult and Cass Business School.

The Total Office Cost Survey, published in September, was based in part on data provided by Regus. Its base analysis suggests that the bulk of the Regus portfolio is between 50 to 70% "cheaper" than the conventional leasing method - assuming that a standard 5-year pricing standard is granted across the portfolio. However, this finding assumes a high degree of spatial efficiency and relatively small space requirements on the part of customers.

Once whole building leases are considered, then measured by total occupancy costs, Regus' mid- to long-term pricing is generally 30-40% more efficient than leasing new space (depending on term and location).

Locations where Regus shows excellent value is in the rental hot spots of the West End (38% saving) and the regional city centres of Edinburgh, Bristol, Manchester and Leeds. The Survey also demonstrates that, by using Regus, savings are still achievable in the hardest hit office markets in the City and Thames Valley.
